On October 1, 2021, John McMillan began his initial duties as the Director of the Alabama Medical Cannabis Commission (AMCC).

John McMillan Statement:

“It is exciting to serve as the inaugural director of the Alabama Medical Cannabis Commission. I am ready to hit the ground running to provide a program that serves some of our most vulnerable citizens.  The work we do today and in the months ahead will lay the groundwork for Alabama’s newest agency and industry. Many tough decisions and hard work lie ahead, but I am confident that with the vision, expertise, and assistance of the AMCC Board we can chart a successful course.”
